I think I want to move to Canada.

    No, I'm not kidding.

I have never commented here before but now i feel i must.
Not all of us "asked for it". I have a 2yr old son and I truly fear for his future. I was all ready to do a whole bunch of ranting and raving about how we have made the wrong choice for this country...but now i feel sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Uck!
Love your blog btw, and your daughter is adorable.

I kinda agree with you - sometimes we're a dumbass nation. I have no earthly idea what the majority of the voting population was thinking yesterday and I'm pissed. At the same time, I'm with Laura. Not all of us asked for it. Some of us tried very hard to spread the word, to think it through and vote the right person into office. It really saddens me that we were seemingly unable to do so. Saddens and scares me.

Your right, most of us did ask for it. Which is really the most distressing thing about this election. The fact that most people in this country apparently don't care about the environment, or a woman's right to choose, or equal rights for all, or being a part of the global community, or...a million other "moral issues". Ok, i'm done. it's not even 9am and i am angry as hell. aaarrgh!

Hey Laura, if you have a site, email it to me. I like your style!

I agree with you. I really thougt the American people would come through. Wrong. It was the plumber that was working on my septic tank that said it. He saw my Kerry/Edwards yard sign and stated plainly that he was voting for Bush because he doesn't believe in abortion.
I wanted to kick him in the balls. I wanted to ask him if he watched the news lately. But to those bull headed Americans - Bush is just as good as God in the white house because he has "morals and family values". Kerry doesn't?
Sigh..It is a sad day indeed. I fear for our future. I fear for my son's future.

I thought maybe the intellectuals in thsi country would far outweigh the ignorant south and midwest.
I was wrong. I am sad today

It's my country, I don't want to give it up. :( Dammit. I can't believe that ONLY ONE OUT OF TEN ELLIGIBLE VOTERS--ELIGIBLE! ELIGIBLE! youth voters actually showed up. ONE OUT OF TEN. What in the world? Why? What's the point in registering if you weren't gonna vote this time around?

I've never commented here, so first, I really enjoy your blog. It sounds like you are doing a great job as a mom.

As for the election, please count me as another Americian who is amazed that Bush won. Also, I am embarrassed that you know so much about our election, but my guess is that at least 50 % of my neighbors don't know where the capital of Canada is located.

    sigh

I am trying to convience John right now that we need to move to Canada. He wants to wait until after Hilary runs, so he can vote. Then we are on our way over!

Remember that BUSH DID NOT WIN.

    America LOST.

    Temporarily.

I'm taking a rain check on that spot I've got on your couch, Stace. I'm gonna stay here and fight until things are right. (See my blog.)

No offense, but if Canada is so great, why do a lot of them move down here to work? Why do they come to our Hospitals to have surgery done?

Look I am no supporter of George W. Bush, but in the real world there is the evil of the liberal left and the evil of the conservative Religious right.

The lesser of the two evils is (sadly) George W. Bush. I don't like gays, but as long as they don't flaunt it in our faces then I don't give a shit what Bruce and Eddie do with themselves, just don't have me pay tax money to support them. Let them support themselves.

There was only two great Republican Presidents, and they were Nixon and Reagan. Now I know enought about Stacy that she is a liberal Canadian, but she has the right to say anything she wants to. I just hope she will allow me to do the same.
